  1. How times have changed. Nowadays, there are far more bloggers who started with the intent of making money. As such, you will see so many blogs (new ones) already having advertising links, etc. But that is not going to work. I agree with you, one needs to build a following first and traffic before monetizing.

Looking at your site, for instance, I do not see ads such as Adsense and others. Bloggers need to know that inserting codes means loading times suffer, and with each ad, it becomes a distraction to what pure blogging is about, the content and the value you give them.

Having said that, if one were to earn pennies for ads, then might as well remove them.

Meanwhile, focus on learning and with each new post, apply better ways of writing. Focusing on the content is what bloggers should prioritize in the beginning. In my opinion, this is what one should do for one year, before even thinking of monetizing.

  2. I believe in writing original and quality content and then maximizing Social Media. For now the best ones to promote are Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook. These days, most influencers earns more in their Social Media Accounts than their blog which results to other totally taking their blog for granted.
