Best and Finest in the Visayas: Visayan Music Awards Top 10 Finalists
Organized by the Sacred Heart School for Boys Batch 1985 Foundation, Inc., VizMA, which stands for Visayan Music Awards, is an annual event to honor significant artists and important achievements in the industry. VizMA also aims to recognize the the men and women who have played an important role in the promotion of the Visayan language, culture and music.

Out of the hundreds who submitted their entries to the first ever Visayan Music Awards, the Top 10 finalists was revealed last July 18, 2019 at the Asmara Urban Resort & Lifestyle Village in Cebu City.

The finalists are set to perform a live rendition of their song with the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra at the inaugural Visayan Music Awards Finals Night on July 27, 7PM at the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City. The event is hosted by no other than Giselle Sanchez and will be graced by Cebu’s prominent artists like Karencitta and Max Surban.
The Grand Prize winner of the first VizMA will receive a whooping P100,000 while 2nd and 3rd placers will be receiving P75,00 and 50,000 and P10,000 to the rest of the finalists. All finalists will also be receiving P150,000 worth of scholarship from Thames International’s Innovation and Creative Enterprise Program.
