Huawei PH’s Behind Portrait Photography Workshop In Cebu

Last updated on June 14th, 2017 at 05:57 am

After a successful series of Behind Portrait Photography workshops in Manila, Huawei Philippines invaded the Queen City of the South and offered budding Cebuano mobile photographers the chance to acquire invaluable portrait photography tips and tricks.

The first leg was exclusive to Cebu’s media and bloggers held at the Chateau de Busay. We, at Drift Stories, were very privileged to be part of this predestined gathering. As advocates of mobile photography since time immemorial, we found it a timely outlet for us to hone our skills and learn a handful of new insights.

The workshop was facilitated by Sara Black, a Huawei P10 Ambassadress, and one of the finest and top fashion photographers in the country. Sara has partaken her knowledge in the basics of photography as well as artistry in portraiture. She also talked about the convenience and versatility in using the Huawei P10 for portraits, or any genre for that matter.

The most stimulating part of the workshop is the photo challenge wherein everyone gladly obliged. Out of the 35 entries, ours got shortlisted and eventually made it to the top that got us to win what is considered to be one of Huawei’s flagship smartphones, the P10.

Below is the winning shot at the Behind Portrait Photography Workshop – Cebu Media Leg. To see the rest of the entries, you may browse the album here.
