Sweet November Treat for Drift Stories

For almost a decade now, the Best Cebu Blogs Awards has consistently been recognizing the cream of the crop in the Cebuano blogger elite circle. Led by Mark Monta, Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. Founder and Head, the BCBA has become the most anticipated annual awards event. 

The Recognition

Drift Stories is barely a year old, and yet, we have organized a number of successful events. Way back in March of this year, we did a rehash for SouthWalk: Heritage Tour, a travel+photography tour highlighting the heritage churches in the southern towns of Cebu, and SouthWalk: Sumilon in April, to highlight and promote the beautiful and enticing Island of Sumilon with the all-out support of Bluewater Resorts Sumilon. In August, we organized This is Cebu!, the first-ever Google Local Guides Photowalk in Cebu. The yearly Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, #MyBluewater Walk and CemenTOURyo in October were also among the several successful events we’ve had.

We managed to have a good run this year, but being listed as a Finalist for the Events/Entertainment niche in the Best Cebu Blogs Awards makes the year 2016 even more fulfilling. Being recognized was far from imagination, but if given the most-coveted prize then we’d gladly oblige, though how steep of a climb the race may be. If otherwise, however, just being a part of this group of prominent achievers is already a victory in itself. Rest assured, we’ll continue to pursue what we’ve started and stay inspired to hopefully inspire even more.
