Blogger Spotlight: Idas of Laag Sparkles

January is about to come to an end and it has been a vibrant and exciting month for everyone. For the last installment of this month’s The Blogger Spotlight, we are excited to introduce this young and talented blogger. Aside from being book and an art lover, she is a certified travel junkie. If you take time to stalk her on Facebook, you will be able to see most of her travels and adventures. 

With no further adieu, let’s meet the sparkly Leonidas, the wanderlust and shutterbug behind Laag Sparkles.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND HOW YOU GOT INTO BLOGGING?

Laag Sparkles: My dad and my eldest sister always surprise me with new and different places until such, I fell in love with nature, I fell in love with travels and adventures like it is my life. I also love photography; it is savoring life intensely. But I am not a pro in photography, I just always feel the deepest perception of what is being photographed. I am an avid reader and so you might always see me with different kinds of books in hand. I also love paintings and all about arts, like I wanted to wound Picasso (just kidding). Lastly, I really love animes (specially Studio Ghibili).

I got into blogging just last February 2016 because I was influenced by Glister of Chasing Potatoes and Marjorie of DakilangLaagan. Their stories inspires me to write again and I did..

WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA OF YOUR BLOG’S NAME?

Laag Sparkles: I got my blog name from a soft drink called Sparkle (hahaha!) and I just added the laag. Because every time we climb mountains or do crazy adventures, we ended up looking for a soft drinks and mostly Sparkle is always available in the local stores (hahaha!)

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BLOGGING?

Laag Sparkles: I love writing so as blogging because my interest on it becomes the interest shown to others. Blogging becomes my outlet to myself in order for me to express and share the experiences I’ve gain.

WHAT IS THE NICHE OF YOUR BLOG AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE IT?

Laag Sparkles: My niche of my blog is travel. I choose it because I am always into travel, I love natures like I have an intimate relationship with it. But, we did not travel for the sake of just traveling, we travel, we adventure because we wanted to immerse in different cultures. We wanted to see the other side of the world which most of the people did not see or appreciate it. We travel because we might be able to look at our life with a little objectivity than usual. We travel because we will learn something.

ARE YOU MONETIZING YOUR BLOG? HOW DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG’S TRAFFIC?

Laag Sparkles: No. I still don’t have plans.

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION FOR YOUR BLOG POSTS?

Laag Sparkles: I am always inspired to the most known travel blogger, Adrenaline Romance. I’ve been reading their blogs and I always feel like I’m traveling too.

BESIDES BLOGGING, WHAT OTHER INTERESTS DO YOU HAVE?

Laag Sparkles: I love swimming (i can be in the sea all day), swimming is already a part of me since childhood. Every time I visited my province, there are no days that I’m not in the sea. I drive pump boats and go on a free diving. I go “islets” hopping too. I visited Islets in Bantayan Island like, Botong, Moamboc, Panitugan, Tinago, Silagon, Doong, and Sagasa.

Laag Sparkles: I haven’t received any awards yet and I don’t think I need any but  it will be a great privilege if I will be awarded and I am always open to have awards (if that will ever gonna happen).

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO JUST STARTED BLOGGING

Laag Sparkles: Always be motivated and never stop inspiring everyone. Focus on your own niche and be creative as much as you can.
